Why Fiberglass Behaves Differently Than Vinyl Under Stress

Every window material expands and contracts with temperature, but not at the same rate. Vinyl expands and contracts considerably more than glass does over a wide temperature range, which means the seal between the sash and frame has to work harder to compensate as the seasons change.
