We recently worked with a homeowner in Shawnee, KS who had a lot of wood rot in their home, which could compromise their home’s stability if not addressed.
After discussing the issue with our Safe Harbor Exteriors team, the homeowner decided to replace the old, rotted masonite siding with new, more durable materials like Hardie® siding.

From Rot Replacement to Hardie Siding Installation
We began by carefully removing the old siding, and due to the amount of wood rot under the windows, we had to replace a lot of OSB. Additionally, certain areas of the home had no OSB, so we installed it in those locations before installing the new siding. We completed the project by installing Hardie siding, trim, fascia, and soffit, as well as new gutters for the final touch.
